Partner agreement

This agreement is between you (the partner) and Smart Choice Claims Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13062399), which runs Challenge That Debt ("we", "us"). You accept it in your partner dashboard before you start. Version 2026-10-07.

1. Joining the program

We add partners by invitation. We give you a partner code, a referral link and a commission rate, all shown in your dashboard. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract.

2. How you earn commission

  • You earn your commission rate on the price before tax of each purchase you refer. Sales tax or VAT is not included.
  • A purchase is yours if the customer typed your partner code at checkout, or bought within 30 days of clicking your referral link and did not click another partner's link after yours. A typed code wins over any link.
  • You do not earn commission on your own purchases, on purchases by anyone you pay or reward to buy, or on purchases you referred in breach of this agreement.
  • If a purchase is refunded, partly refunded or disputed by the customer, the matching share of your commission is cancelled. If we have already paid it, we take it off your next payout.

3. When we pay

  • Commission is pending for 14 days after the purchase, then approved.
  • On the 1st of each month we total your approved commission up to the end of the previous month, less any refunds, and pay it by the 7th.
  • If the total is under $50, it rolls over to the following month.
  • We pay in US dollars by the method we agree with you. You are responsible for your own taxes. We may ask for tax information, such as an IRS Form W-9 or W-8BEN, before we pay you, and we may hold payment until we have it.

4. How you may promote us

You must:

  • Disclose clearly, and close to your link or code, that you earn a commission. For example: "I earn a commission if you buy through this link." This is required by the US Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides.
  • Describe Challenge That Debt accurately: a document-preparation tool that offers a free check and prepares dispute and validation letters from the customer's own answers. It is not a law firm and does not give legal advice.
  • Follow the law where you and your audience are, including the CAN-SPAM Act for email and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act for calls and texts.

You must not:

  • Say or suggest that we erase or remove debt, repair or improve credit scores, stop lawsuits, garnishment or collection calls, or guarantee any result.
  • Call us lawyers or a law firm, or describe our letters as legal advice.
  • Pretend to be us, a debt collector, a creditor or a government agency, or make your messages look like they come from one.
  • Encourage anyone to claim the military, veteran, senior or disability price if they do not qualify.
  • Send email to people who have not agreed to hear from you, or call or text anyone without their prior express written consent.
  • Bid on our name or misspellings of it in paid search ads, or register domain names or social media accounts that use our name.
  • Force or fake clicks (for example hidden links, pop-unders or automatic redirects), pay people to click or buy, or post fake reviews.
  • Collect or keep information about people's debts on our behalf, or target anyone under 18.

5. Our name and logo

You may use our name and logo only to promote Challenge That Debt under this agreement, and only as we provide them. We may ask you to change or remove any content that mentions us, and you will do so within 3 days.

6. Information

Your dashboard shows the date, price before tax, commission and status of each sale you referred. It never shows who the customer is. We keep your name, email address and payment records to run the program, as described in our privacy policy.

7. Changes

We may change your commission rate or this agreement by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email. A rate change applies only to purchases made after it takes effect. If you do not agree to a change, you can leave the program before it takes effect.

8. Ending the agreement

You or we can end this agreement at any time by email. We pay approved commission earned before it ended, on the normal schedule. If you broke section 4, we may withhold commission on the purchases affected and end the agreement straight away.

9. The relationship

You are an independent business, not our employee or agent, and you cannot make promises or agreements on our behalf.

10. Liability

Our total liability to you under this agreement is limited to the commission paid or owed to you in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in this agreement limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Law

This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
